A laid-back option for oysters & Southern-leaning seafood plates in informal digs with a patio.
I traveled to New Orleans for the weekend and this is was one of the best places I’ve ever been. The staff was friendly and the food was outstanding. If I did not come here to eat before I left the city I would have regretted that decision. The soft shell crab was out of this world delicious.
My first time dining at Station 6 was a wonderful experience. We celebrated my husband's birthday. We enjoyed everything so much that we returned 2 days later for more. There was 5 different types of fish to choose from on the menu. The place was quaint and the atmosphere was welcoming! We will definitely visit again. No reservations necessary so arrive early.
The food was delicious! The soft shell crab was spectacular! And the spinach dip was different made with crawfish tails and tomato but also very good. Here's some of the dishes we had.
Last night we had the grilled redfish covered in crab meat, it was amazing. In the past I've had their soft shell crab covered with crab meat, but I don't believe they offer that anymore, it was to die for! We sampled appetizers of the sizzling garlic shrimp, fried oysters, and fried catfish. They were all delicious. We highly recommend Station 6!
If you are looking for a place outside of bourbon street, this is a definite must! Everything was pretty darn solid and service is awesome. It will be difficult to pick a favorite as they were all awesome. Save some room for dessert…the doughnut bread pudding is the 💣!
