Station 6
Our story
Station 6 was founded in 2016 by Chef Alison Vega-Knoll and husband Drew Knoll, both native New Orleanians.
Since its opening, Station 6 has garnered much critical acclaim, as well as the praise and approval of locals and visitors alike by combining the freshest Louisiana and Gulf seafood and homegrown ingredients to create award-winning cuisine in a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere. The Knolls decided to move on in 2023, but Station 6 continues!
Chef Aaron Burgau (Patois, Charlie's Steak House, Central City Barbecue) and Managing Partner John Michael Rowland (formerly of Superior Seafood) are now at the helm of Station 6 alongside longtime Station 6 Executive Chef Jeremy Latimer and General Manager Dawn Michel.
Aaron, a lifelong New Orleanian, trained under James Beard Award-winning chef Susan Spicer, as well as local legend Gerard Maras. Aaron opened Patois in Uptown New Orleans in 2007 with a commitment to utilizing locally sourced ingredients to create classic French cuisine with a Creole accent. Aaron's culinary achievements at Patois are lauded annually by local publications and he was named King of Louisiana Seafood in 2014. John Michael, born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, came down to the Crescent City in 2001 to study finance and accounting at Tulane University. Like so many others who come here to "visit," John Michael has made New Orleans home. He opened Superior Seafood in 2012 and oversaw its operations as General Manager and Managing Partner for the past 11 years.
Aaron and John Michael are excited to bring their diverse cooking experiences and backgrounds to the varied, seasonal menu for which Station 6 is known and loved. Joined by the Stewart and Cangelosi families, the team at Station 6 is proud to continue building the culinary legacy that began in 2016 for many years to come.
As always, indoor and covered outdoor seating is available on a first come, first served basis. We look forward to seeing you soon.
